A preview of a clip of Cronenberg’s “Crimes of the future”
From 24 August with Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux and Kristen Stewart
Rome, 5 Aug. (askanews) – An exclusive preview of a clip of “Crimes of the future”, the new film by David Cronenberg which will hit theaters on August 24 (with Lucky Red). The film marks the Canadian director’s return to the big screen after eight years of waiting and stars stars Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux and Kristen Stewart.
“Crimes of the future” takes its title from his previous 1970 film without being the remake and marks the director’s return to the body horror genre, already shown in films such as Shivers, Rabid, The Brood and The Fly. A shocking and extreme, visceral work, in which he offers a vision outside the box, through a surprising science fiction film that contains all the very topical themes of his filmography.
The film was presented at the Cannes Film Festival. After The Promise of the Assassin, A History of Violence and A Dangerous Method, Viggo Mortensen is once again the protagonist of a film of him.
In the clip a disturbing scene with Viggo Mortensen and Léa Seydoux.
