All-time list in the Champions League: No. 1 Lewandowski, No. 2 Lewandowski Pika Nona

In the 2019/2020 season, Robert Lewandowski was literally unstoppable. The Polish representative shot as if on cue, outclassing his rivals in the ranking of scorers in most competitions. It is not surprising, because it was at that time that he won the crown of the top scorer in the Bundesliga, the German Cup and the Champions League.

Robert Lewandowski takes the first two places in the Champions League

Two years ago, Bayern Munich was exactly in the same place in the Champions League as they are now. Five matches, five wins, the leader of the table in his group, and in the Bavarian squad the best scorer, i.e. Robert Lewandowski. It was in the 2019/20 season that the Pole improved the 2016/17 performance of Leo Messi (9 goals) and scored 10 goals in the first five matches.

Today the situation is almost identical with one slight difference. Robert Lewandowski could have beaten himself, but in this year’s competition the 33-year-old scored one goal less. Thanks to this, however, he managed to take first and second place in the all-time goalscorer ranking after five LM rounds – as pointed out by

Sebastian Haller close to beating the Pole. Lewandowski fought not only with himself

Robert Lewandowski did not manage to break his own record, although this does not preclude winning the crown of the top scorer at the end of the tournament. In December, the last round of the Champions League group stage will be played, and Bayern Munich has already secured a promotion to the next stage, which means that the Pole will have at least three more matches to improve the current result.

Apart from the Pole, Sebastian Haller, Ajax Amsterdam forward, was also very close to enrolling in the history of LM. The Dutch, like Bayern, are already confident in the next stage of the Champions League. The representative of the Ivory Coast caught up with Lewandowski in the ranking of shooters in the fifth round, in which Ajax Amsterdam faced Besiktas Istanbul. Haller scored both goals in the 2-1 win in Turkey.
