AMD officially presented the Radeon RX 5500 series: we discover the models, the technical specifications and the first benchmarks of the new GPU.
AMD has officially announced the Radeon RX 5500 series, consisting of three variants (M, RX, and XT) that will meet laptop and desktop needs.
As far as the technical specifications are concerned, we are talking about video cards equipped with GDDR6 type RAM memory (4 GB of the base, which become 8 on the XT model), 128-bit bus and a theoretical maximum bandwidth of 224 GB / s.
According to a statement by AMD, the Radeon RX 5500 will offer a performance increase per Watt of 1.6X compared to RX 480 and a number of transistors of 6.4 billion, higher than Polaris 10 (5.7 billion).
AMD Radeon RX 5500 will be available during the current quarter but there is still no precise release date or an official price. Below are the first benchmarks revealed by the manufacturer.
