The Crown is a British-American biographical series about the life of Queen Elizabeth II and the Windsor family, full of intrigue, romance and drama that the royal family repeatedly tries to sweep under the rug. The series is very popular because, despite being in the biographical category, there is no shortage of controversy and portraying the royal family from the less known and friendly side.

The Crown’s fifth season

The host of the ceremony – American actor and comedian Cedric Antonio Kyles, known as Cedric the Entertainer – used the winning of the Netflix series to mercilessly mock the royal family, and more specifically to interview Oprah Winfrey with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in his opening speech.

The series “The Crown” pales in comparison to the real monarchy. Take this Oprah interview with Prince Harry and Meghan, for example. This is just something!

The comedian did not fail to comment on the speed with which Harry and Meghan abandoned their royal duties and fled to the States. He also joked about rumors about the skin color of the couple’s son – Archie, acceptable to the royal court, as well as about the Royal Family, as a relic of the past, not moving with the times.

Unfortunately, Harry and Meghan were not present at the awards ceremony, so they could not respond to these taunts. The comments, however, caused a slight smile on the faces of the actors from “The Crown”.
