Atrani has been transformed into a film set for the filming of “The Equalizer 3”the sequel to the action movie produced by Sony Pictures and directed by Antoine Fuqua starring the Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington who plays the role of Robert McCall, a retired CIA agent, a key character around which everything revolves history.
Denzel Washington he is a habitué of the Amalfi coast with a predilection for the city of Positano which he has visited several times and on this occasion he was able to admire the small town of Atrani remaining enchanted by the unique beauty of this authentic village and not escaping the affection of the tourists who recognized him and exchanged a few words with him a souvenir photo. The actor will stay for the entire filming period in an exclusive private villa in ad Amalfi.
But there is no shortage of Italian presences and, alongside the great Remo Gironewe will also see the actor Eugenio Mastrandrea who will play the role of a carabiniere and who has reached the small town on the Amalfi coast for filming.
Meanwhile, anticipation in Atrani is growing for the arrival of the American actress Dakota Fanning.

For the beginning of December the set will move to Naples, while the last part of the film will be shot in Rome with closure imagined for mid-January. Almost all of the film, whose release is scheduled for September 1, 2023, will be shot in Italy.
