12The death of Iron Man and Black Widow

All members of the original Avengers team survived Thanos’ Snap in Avengers: Infinity Warbut not all survived the vicissitudes of the subsequent event. Avengers: Endgame has seen most of the surviving heroes of mcu join forces to bring back to life those who disappeared due to Thanos’ Snap, and for this they traveled back in time to obtain the Infinity Stones before Thanos.

Unfortunately, to obtain the Soul Stone, kept by Red Skull in Vormir, Hawk eye (Jeremy Renner) e Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) had to sacrifice someone they loved. Black Widow sacrificed herself to allow Hawkeye to take the Soul Stone and not have to leave her family, and since her death wasn’t caused by Thanos’ Snap, it wasn’t possible to bring her back to life.

Afterwards, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) ended the Battle of Earth between Thanos and his armies, and all the heroes and allies of the mcu, taking the Stones from Thanos and fitting them into his suit. Iron Man snapped his fingers and got rid of Thanos and company, but the power of the Stones was too strong and Tony Stark died minutes later.
