The major indices of the Italian Stock Exchange and the main European financial markets have recorded decreases in the order of 2-3% in the last session of the week. Piazza Affari scored the worst performance of the day in Europe on the eve of the political elections. Pierre Veyret – ActivTrades technical analyst – reported that the Stoxx-50 index is still flirting with the two-month minimum around 3,400 points, trading inside a short-term bearish channel. According to the expert, the next support can be positioned towards 3,375 points and 3,355 points, the lowest level reached this year. “Breaking this level would be extremely threatening for prices as it would open the door to a deeper correction towards 3,300, 3,050 points and 2,730.0 points per extension,” warned Pierre Veyret.
The FTSEMib he left 3.36% on the ground at 21,067 points, after having fluctuated between a minimum of 21,040 points and a maximum of 21,759 points; during the whole week, the main Borsa Italiana index lost 4.72%. The FTSE Italia All Share it lost 3.22%. Minus sign also for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (-2.06%) and for FTSE Italia Star (-1.04%). In the session of 23 September 2022, the turnover rose to 2.13 billion euros, compared to 1.94 billion on Thursday.
At 17.30 the bitcoin it had dropped below $ 19,000 (less than € 19,500).
The BTP-Bund spread it expanded beyond 230 points, with the ten-year BTP yield exceeding 4.3%.
L’EUR it stood just above $ 0.97.

Monte dei Paschi di Siena was an exception, even if it folds back from the mothers touched in the morning. The title of the Sienese institute scored a 3.18% progress at € 0.3052, after hitting an intraday high of € 0.3132. According to what was written in the Corriere della Sera, the CEO of the bank, Luigi Lovaglio, would have informally heard the top management of AXA and Anima Holding to evaluate the possibility of subscribing a share of the 2.5 billion euro capital increase.
In sharp decline, however, Mediobanca (-4.2% to € 7.932). The board of directors of the Piazzetta Cuccia institute approved the draft financial statements for the 2021/2022 financial year, confirming the data communicated on 29 July 2022; in particular, the net result was 907 million euros. Mediobanca has proposed the distribution of a dividend of € 0.75 per share.
Worse performance for the BancoBPM (-4.42%) and for Intesa Sanpaolo (-4.75%).
Negative closing also for stocks in the oil sectorafter the price of crude oil in New York (contract expiring in November 2022) dropped to 79 dollars a barrel. ENI recorded a decrease of 4.74% to 10.802 euros. Bad too Tenaris (-8.31% to 12.475 euros).

In the STAR segment, the progress of Digital Bros (+ 3.3% to € 23.14), after the disclosure of the financial results for the financial year 2021/2022. The management of the company has indicated that it expects to exceed 50 million euros of investments also in the current year, expecting revenues to grow for the next two years.
