Britain is considering a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Games

There is an “active discussion” in the government and Foreign Minister Liz Truss is in favor of a boycott, the paper said.

The option is under discussion that members of the British government will not take part in the games, but will be able to be represented by the British ambassador to China, writes the Times.

According to the paper, five conservative politicians wrote to Johnson urging him to ban any official British representation from the Beijing Winter Olympics.

President Joe Biden confirmed on Thursday that the United States is considering a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
