In the United States today the important Independence Day is celebrated but July 4th does not only represent the day when the American colonies broke away from Great Britain: in the Marvel comics, in fact, Steve Rodgers aka Captain America was born on July 4th of 1918.
The character appeared for the first time in the album Captain America Comic # 1 released in 1941 but in recent years has made inroads into pop culture thanks to Chris Evans and his now iconic interpretation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
To celebrate his 101 years, Mark Ruffalo and many MCU fans wished a happy birthday directly to his side B, the one in Avengers: Endgame is defined by Tony Stark and Scott Lang – and later by the same Cap – as the ” America’s most beautiful seating “: just today the actor lent himself to a nice photo of his lower back with a fan. Steve Rodgers was introduced to the MCU in 2011 with Captain America: The First Avengers and has since appeared in two (relatively) stand-alone sequels – The Winter Soldier and Civil War – and the four Avengers films, with several cameos in Ant-Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Captain Marvel.
