The incident occurred on November 20 during a flight from Doha to Manila in the Philippines. One of the travelers began to experience severe labor pains, it was so strong that the crew could not even plan the landing. A decision was made to deliver the childbirth on board the plane.
The girl was born at 7.20 am local time, two and a half hours before landing in the Philippines. As gratitude for the help, the child’s mother decided to name her child after the flight attendants.
Fortunately, the delivery went smoothly. “Little Scarlett Ann is healthy and was named after two flight attendants who assisted in the labor,” wrote a post on Facebook.
The specialists on the plane watched over the condition of the mother and child.
“Congratulations to our safety professional crew. Our cabin crew are trained to deal with unusual situations,” a spokesman for Philippine Airlines wrote on social media.
