Coronavirus in Poland. Latest infection data [4 grudnia 2021 r.]

Laboratory tests confirmed coronavirus infection in another 25,000. 576 people. 135 patients with COVID-19 have died, the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday.

New cases of infections come from the following provinces: Masovian (4270), Silesian (3361), Greater Poland (2308), Lesser Poland (2255), Lower Silesia (2070), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (1490), Łódź (1417), Pomeranian (1407), West Pomeranian (1393), Lublin (1033) ), Podkarpackie (907), Warmian-Masurian (899), Opole (833), Lubuskie (660), Świętokrzyskie (639) and Podlasie (469).

165 infections are data without specifying an address, which will be supplemented by the sanitary inspection.

Coronavirus in Poland. How many people are there in hospitals?

Currently, 29 thousand patients are prepared in hospitals for COVID-19 patients. 575 beds and 2,677 respirators. There are 22 thousand hospitalized. 350 patients, including 1,978 people connected to ventilators, the Ministry of Health announced on Saturday.

The ministry said that 761,000 people were in quarantine. 786 people. The ministry also said that 3,116,000 have recovered so far. 875 infected.

Changes to restrictions. List

Adam Niedzielski presented an alert package of restrictions in connection with the emergence of a new variant of the coronavirus. – It is to make us aware of the importance of this situation when a new risk appears – said the Minister of Health. The changes affect flights to certain African countries and the length of the quarantine. The limits of people staying in various types of facilities and participating in events are also tightened. The regulations are valid from December 1 to December 17.

What are the restrictions?

  • The first element is sealing the boundaries. There is a ban on flights to seven African countries. These are: Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe, i.e. countries that have been recognized by ECDC as specified risk countries
  • People returning from these countries, regardless of the route, will have an extended quarantine of up to 14 days. There is no test release from this quarantine
  • Changing the rules for traveling to Poland from non-Schengen countries. The quarantine is extended from 10 to 14 days, and the release from quarantine may take place from the eighth day after the PCR test
  • People fully vaccinated with preparations recognized in the European Union, coming from outside the Schengen area, are not subject to quarantine
  • Changing the limits of people staying in various types of facilities and participating in events. The current limit of 75 percent. occupancy changes to 50 percent. – the change applies to gastronomy, hotels, culture, i.e. cinemas, theaters, opera, philharmonic halls and cultural centers, concerts, circus performances, churches and sports facilities, such as swimming pools, water parks
  • The limit of people at meetings and celebrations, which could currently be 150 people, will be changed – the new limit is 100 people. It goes, among others for weddings, communions and discos.
  • There will also be greater restrictions on sports events organized outside sports facilities. Currently, the limit at these sporting events is 500 people. Now it will be 250 people
  • Greater restrictions will also include in gyms. Until now, in facilities such as gyms, clubs, fitness centers, museums, and gambling, there was a limit of one person per 10 sq m, now it will be one person per 15 sq m.
