CORONAVIRUS – REPORT

– No way – said the Prime Minister, when asked about the possibility of solutions analogous to those in Austria.

Health Minister Adam Vojtiech said that there is no need to declare a state of emergency in the country, and the restrictions introduced so far covid result from the provisions of the Pandemic Act, which is in force until the end of February 2022. The introduction of a state of emergency would be necessary if the government wanted to restrict freedom of movement, for example – he said.

Screening tests

The outgoing Cabinet decided on Friday on screening tests in schools and workplaces. They concern unvaccinated people. Presence tests coronavirus will be performed every week on Mondays and the action will last until the end of February. Student screening is recommended by experts advising the government.

Tests of unvaccinated people are obligatory in workplaces and also apply to craftsmen running service establishments. Professional athletes will also be tested. The refusal to undergo the tests results in the employee’s data being sent to sanitary and epidemic stations. At work, he must wear an FFP2 protective mask at all times, use separate canteens and limit contact with other workers.

Testing will start on November 22nd and, just like in schools, it will be repeated every week. Employees who test positive must initiate quarantine. Each day of the retreat is paid as for a sick leave. At their meeting Friday, ministers adopted a bill that introduces an additional 370 kronor (around 15 euros) for each day of quarantine. The draft is to be decided by the parliament in an accelerated procedure.
