Cristiano Ronaldo has finally spoken out about everything that has been happening at Manchester United. After two defeats at the English club, the Red Devils are in ‘bad conditions’ in the Premier League and the Portuguese ace was detonated by Gary Neville, a former player of the club, for his statement.
“Stand up now and speak up”, said Gary Neville to Cristiano Ronaldo, ahead of his long-awaited ‘bombastic’ interview, in which the Portuguese ace must participate to clarify his future at Manchester United, within 15 days.
Neville demanded that his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo immediately break his silence and reveal what his grievances with Manchester United would be, before leaving Old Trafford.
“Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth? Get up now and speak. The club is in crisis and needs leaders to lead. He’s the only one who can grab this situation by the back of his head!”, said Gary Neville on Twitter, talking about Cristiano Ronaldo’s moment at the English club.
Cristiano Ronaldo reveals interview that will be held soon
Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Old Trafford after the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League last season. United initially refused to sell the Portuguese, but Erik ten Hag, the club’s manager, admitted his team would be better off without the forward and the controversies of recent weeks.
“They will know the truth when they interview me in a few weeks. The media is telling lies. I have it in a notebook and, in the last few months, of the 100 news I ‘made’, only 5 of them were right. Imagine what it’s like. Take this tip”, revealed Cristiano Ronaldo, in an Instagram comment.
The striker believes he still has two or three years to continue playing at a high level and doesn’t want to waste time in the Europa League. Erik ten Hag initially planned for Cristiano Ronaldo to be part of his squad this season, but is not against the idea of him leaving before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Since returning to Manchester United a year ago, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 24 goals in 39 games, in all competitions, in which he also provided three assists. This season, the Portuguese striker has yet to score goals in the Premier League.
