Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness flies to the US box office touching the 300 million mark, a flop for the Firestarter reboot with Zac Efron.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness firmly rules the US box office cashing in another 61 million, which brings him to a total collection of 291.8 million. A 61% drop in revenues for the Marvel cinecomic led by English star Benedict Cumberbatch. The film, which is the sequel to Doctor Strange’s
2016 by Scott Derrickson, is the second standalone feature film focusing on the character of Stephen Strange and sees the return of director Sam Raimi to the Marvel fold after the Spider-Man trilogy, as pointed out by the review of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the film starts from the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which Stephen Strange changed the face of reality by opening the multiverse. Now Strange is forced to forge an alliance with characters old and new as he ventures into the multiverse to face a new enemy. Zac Efron leads the new version of Uncontrollable Paranormal Phenomena which however, at the box office, turns out to be a worse flop than the original, grossing only 3.8 million from 3,412 screens and scoring an average of $ 1,119 per room. Worse than the debut of the original based on the Stephen King novel and starring Drew Barrymore which, in 1984, reached 4.7 million in just 1,356 screens.
