On the occasion of Nintendo Direct aired this night, Nintendo announced that Doom 64 will be re-launched on Nintendo Switch to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series.
“Fans have at least 64 reasons to look forward to the release of Doom 64 for Nintendo Switch, and the possibility of playing where they want is one of them. Doom 64 will land on Nintendo Switch on November 22,” Nintendo says, confirming the exit of the title the same day as Doom Eternal.
Doom 64 is an exclusive chapter for Nintendo 64 dating back to 1997. Made by Midway, it follows the story of Doom 2 but with a slightly more horror direction than that given by id Software to the first two episodes of the series.
