Drew Barrymore went to Courteney Cox for the pregnancy scare while filming Scream

Drew Barrymore revealed that she went to Courteney Cox when she got a pregnancy scare while filming their 1996 film Scream.

The 46-year-old actress recently interviewed her Scream Cox co-stars Neve Campbell and David Arquette on her daytime talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, and recalled thinking she was pregnant when she was 21.

During the interview, Barrymore recalled how the Friends star supported her in the situation.

“We’ve gotten so close, Courteney. I remember during the filming of the poster I was having a kind of nervous breakdown because I had a false feeling that I was pregnant, ”the Never Been Kissed star recalled.

Barrymore recalled the questions she asked Cox, 57, about how to know if she was pregnant.

“I kept asking her, ‘How do you know if you are pregnant? Like, I’m going crazy! We should shoot this poster, but oh my God, I just started dating! ” she continued, adding that she felt safe going to Cox about the situation, being a “mature and safe person”.

Cox responded by agreeing to be the oldest person in the room and “the right person to turn to.”
