Edith Cultura ends the month’s schedule with a Beyoncé film and Festa Fantasia

This Friday (1st), the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Edith Cultura closes the CIN&DESIGN exhibition with a film club and a party. The program starts at 7:30 pm with the screening of the film “Black Is King”, directed by Beyoncé.

Afterwards, there is the Fantasia Festa, with DJs Marina Salles and Fernanda Ferrari, also curators of the June show. The theme for the costumes is cinema.

The film

The journeys of black families through time are honored in a tale about a young king’s transcendent journey through betrayal, love and self-identity. His ancestors help guide him towards his destiny, and with his father’s teachings and guidance of childlike love, he gains the virtues necessary to reclaim his home and throne. These timeless lessons are revealed and reflected by the black voices of today, now in their own power. ‘Black Is King’ is a statement of great purpose, with lush visuals that celebrate the resilience and culture of black people. The film highlights the beauty of black tradition and excellence.
