What’s in a moodboard inspired by Ratajkowski’s house? “I’m not afraid of colors,” he admits, but he has strong opinions on the matter. For her, Millennial pink is out. On the other hand, fun and unexpected combinations are trendy: “I love green and pink together. I like bright orange paired with cool tones,” she says. The fuchsia and darker pink elements of the carpets in the new offices aren’t quite what she’d choose for her home, but their vintage mood “works for the brand,” she says.
Ratajkowski, mother of one-year-old son Sly, is currently decorating a new West Village apartment after putting her mid-century Los Angeles home on the market earlier this year. (The move followed her divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard after four and a half years of marriage). “The living room I’m preparing in my new apartment has very cold colors. It’s all green and blue“, explains.
Ratajkowski is also a fan of sculptural furniture, which CB2 has created for the offices by creating a central area with two shaped sofas. This space allows the team to work harmoniously and create content in a pleasant environment, which is important for an online business (the brand will soon also be sold in stores) run by a social media superstar boasting 29.5 million followers.
