Emmy 2022, ‘Ted Lasso’, ‘Succession’ triumph and Zendaya does (rightly) an encore

All very fair. It is the only comment that comes to mind when thinking about the winners of the 74th edition of the Emmys, between (deserved) reconfirmations and (due) exploits. Ted Lasso triumphs as best comedy series for the second consecutive year, The White Lotus wins the award as the best miniseries e Succession conquers all as best drama series. The star of Squid Game Lee Jung-jae becomes the first Asian actor to win as a lead actor in a drama series, while Zendaya – with her performance in Euphoria – is the first black woman twice as best actress in a drama series, and the youngest to repeat this success. But also, all our favorites: Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout); Michael Keaton (Dopesick); Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus); Matthew Macfadyen (Succession); Julia Garner (Ozark). The only regret, Sydney Sweeney, who despite two nominations remains dry-mouthed: it is only a matter of time, we are more than sure.
