Super Meat Boy creator Forever talked about the contract signed with Epic Games Store on PC: “When they showed me the numbers, my fears for the absence of the game from Steam were immediately alleviated.”
Super Meat Boy Forever creator, Tommy Refenes, recently discussed with Destructoid the exclusive agreement signed with Epic Games Store. The developer explained that the conditions proposed by Epic Games were so advantageous that no one would reject the proposal.
“They told me they wanted Super Meat Boy Forever on the Epic Games Store, but that it would remain exclusive for a year. Then they said they would guarantee our sales. When they showed me the numbers, my fears for the absence of the game from Steam on PC were immediately alleviated, “said Refenes.
“It’s great for anyone in any industry to know that once the work is done, you can certainly achieve a lot. I don’t know who wouldn’t sign this kind of agreement. We made the announcement at The Game Awards, and these are things I won’t get anywhere else. Having Meat Boy on the Game Awards screen is crazy. “
Refenes also noted that some complaints raised by users at the Epic Games Store address are legitimate, others less so. The release of Super Meat Boy Forever is scheduled for the end of 2019 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS.
