Fantastic Four – Emily Blunt and John Krasinski comment on the fan casting

For many months, fans have wanted the main roles of Sue Storm and Reed Richards to play in the new version of the adventures of the Fantastic Four Emily Blunt and John Krasinski. Various fanarts are created, so it’s no surprise that during the promotion A quiet place 2, the question was finally asked.

Emily Blunt admits that such a fan casting is flattering, but takes it as a hypothetical matter. He suggests to journalists that this is something they should talk to Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios.

A more enthusiastic answer came from John Krasiński, who emphasizes how much he would like to do so.

– I’d love to do that. Being part of the Marvel world would be amazing. The fact that people would even consider me for a role on this level is extraordinary. I honestly haven’t had any conversations and I don’t know what’s going on with that. I’m waiting for Kevin’s announcements about what they are planning, as well as everyone else.

Of course, even if the actors had some contact with Marvel Studios, we know that the comments cannot tell the truth. At least we know they are aware of the whole situation.

This wouldn’t be the first time Kevin Feige would cast someone fans really wanted in a role. Benedict Cumberbatch was a fan favorite for the role of Doctor Strange for a long time and eventually got it.
