RED is an organization supporting the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and Fiat is a partner in this project. From 2021, the Italian brand offers special versions of RED, the characteristic color of which is, of course, the red paint Passione Red.
Now Fiat’s RED range has been expanded by two more models: Panda and Tipo Cross Station Wagon.
While in the case of most of the small city Panda we can basically talk about additional emblems and a dedicated varnish, in the case of the Tipo in the RED version, the Cross Station Wagon, i.e. the off-road station wagon, is making its debut.
Until now, only the hatchback was raised, offering 440 liters of luggage space. The Cross Station Wagon already offers 550 liters for luggage. Of course, all this is due to the body length which is 20 cm longer than the hatchback.
Interestingly, the Fiat Tipo Cross Station Wagon in the RED variant is also available in Colosseo Gray, Gelato White and Cinema Black with red side mirrors.
To underline Fiat’s ecological approach, the seats in the off-road Tipo are made of SEAQUAL MARINE PLASTIC, a recycled marine litter material, and feature a FIAT monogram and red stitching.
In addition, customers who choose Cross Station Wagon can count on chrome exterior door handles, roof rails or threshold strips. Other features of this model include silver trim on the radiator grille and revised bumpers with silver inserts and plastic wheel arch covers. From the outside, matt black 17-inch light alloy wheels, full LED headlights and taillights are also eye-catching.
The car also got a raised suspension, thanks to which the ground clearance increased by 4 cm and amounts to 17 cm.
The Fiat Tipo Cross Station Wagon will be available with only one engine – the 1.0 turbo gasoline unit with 100 HP or 130 HP 1.6 diesel produced in the Polish plant in Bielsko-Biała. A version with a 1.3 turbo engine and mild hybrid technology is to be launched in the future.
