Francisca Susano is dead. On November 22, the authorities of the town where she spent the last years of her life said goodbye to the woman. “Mayor Pedro Zayco, Jr., Vice Mayor Raul Rivera, and all city officials, as well as all Kabankalan residents, pray with Lola Iska’s family during times of mourning. Lola Iska will always remain our inspiration and pride“- we read in the official announcement on Facebook.

Francisca Susano died on November 22 at her home in the Philippines. The cause of death was not made public. Most likely, she passed away for natural reasons.
As RMF FM recalled, Francisca Susano was the last living person born in the 19th century. It has not yet been entered in the Guinness Book of Records because documents are still being examined in its case.
Francisca Susano revealed before her death in an interview with local journalists that she lived so long because she ate mostly vegetables and a small amount of meat. Besides, she never drank alcohol. It was her recipe for longevity!
