GP Mexico City 2022 – Results PL2 – F1 Results – Formula 1

As expected, George Russell took the first position in PL2 of the Grand Prix of Mexico City. The British was in fact the only one big excluded in PL1 to make room for young people, and therefore in the afternoon he was able to run for half an hour with the compounds of 2022, taking advantage of this to get a 1: 19.970 with soft rubber. For the same reason, Yuki Tsunoda and Esteban Ocon completed the “podium” of PL2 with second and third place, respectively at +0.828 and +1.207.

The first among those who got the time with the “prototype” tires of 2023 was Lewis Hamilton. Following the Red Bull – with Sergio Perez this time nine thousandths faster than Max Verstappen – and the Ferrari. Charles Leclerc – 7th – preceded Carlos Sainz by 75 thousandths, but the Monegasque’s work session was ruined by an accident in turn 7 that ousted him after 33 minutes. Bottas and Gasly were also in the top 10, who beat Alonso and Vettel. To have a more indicative job, it will be necessary to wait for tomorrow’s PL3, scheduled for 7pm Italian time.
