GTA 6 rumors hint at February 2025 release date
As you can see from the “The day the second trailer was released.
The same article also suggested an August 2024 release date for the upcoming game’s trailer. However, the lack of any reliable sources makes this leak difficult to believe. Back in November 2023, prominent Rockstar insider and data miner Tez2 suggested a Spring 2025 release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 .
Additionally, an announcement made during Take-Two Interactive’s 2023 earnings call seemed to hint at a fiscal year 2025 (FY25) release window for the next entry. Although the rumored February 2025 release date falls within fiscal year 2025, it cannot be confirmed whether it is accurate.
Therefore, readers are advised to take the dates mentioned in @PainkillerH20’s X with a grain of salt. They should only trust information that comes directly from Rockstar Games or Take-Two.
That said, it’s interesting to note that a separate release date for GTA 6 Online (April 11, 2025) has been proposed, with the sequel’s multiplayer mode currently unconfirmed. While Grand Theft Auto Online releases just weeks after the launch of GTA V’s story mode, it remains to be seen whether the studio will take a similar approach to the multiplayer portion of the next game.
Although GTA 6’s multiplayer mode has yet to be officially announced, the possibility of the sequel not having an online mode seems slim.
Until more information about GTA 6 is officially announced, players can continue to play GTA Online. The Wildlife Photography Challenge recently debuted in the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the multiplayer game, requiring players to photograph various animals and birds in the game in exchange for cash and RP.
