Haaland follows C. Ronaldo’s diet, but eats kebab pizza at home

Erling Haaland, Manchester City’s new signing, follows a strict diet inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s diet. However, when he is at home in Norway, the striker takes his getaways and is a fan of a kebab pizza, as reported by The Sun newspaper.

In an interview with ESPN in 2019, Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, revealed that his son started following the Portuguese star’s diet after hearing a story told by former side Patrice Evra, CR7’s teammate at Manchester United.

“He heard a story from Patrice Evra about a lunch he had with Ronaldo, and Cristiano ate fish, nothing more. Erling now tries to do the same things because Ronaldo [tinha] 34 years old and still at the top. So it shows the value of doing things right,” Haaland’s father said.

Like Cristiano Ronaldo, Haaland has an exclusive chef who prepares the athlete’s meals. That’s about 4,000 calories ingested per day. He has even been compared to a bear by Joshua King, Norwegian teammate.

“I’ve never, ever seen anyone eat as much as he does. He eats like a bear,” King told Cycling GK’s YouTube channel last year.

When in Norway, however, the City forward cannot resist the delights of the city of Bryne in the company of friends and family. According to The Sun, Haaland is a loyal customer of Yummy Time, a restaurant that serves the attacker’s favorite meal, a kebab pizza.

“I really like kebab. I love it. That doesn’t mean I eat it all the time. I eat it a few times a year when I’m in my hometown. I hardly ever eat it, but it’s still my favorite food,” Haaland said recently.

The Norwegian is also a fan of the Chinese restaurant Wen Hua House. “Erling grew up at this restaurant. He’s been coming here with his family since he was a kid,” owner Hui Zhu Wang told The Sun.

“When he visits Bryne, he still comes to see us and asks for his favorite dishes, sweet and sour chicken or duck,” he said.
