After releasing the teaser trailer, Disney + unveiled the full trailer of the upcoming Star Wars TV series, Andor.
The new promotional video also reveals a new release datewhich postpones fans’ ability to enjoy preview episodes in August.
The show returns to the Empire era, five years before the events of Rogue Onewhich just precede those of Episode IV: A New Hope.
Diego Luna returns as the rebel spy who opposes the Galactic Empire, at his side is present Alan Tudyk as K-2SO, Cassian’s assistant droid. He will also join them Genevieve O’Reilly, who will again play Mon Mothma. The rest of the cast presents Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Stellan Skarsgard And Adria Arjona.
The creator and showrunner Tony Gilroy stated that the first season will take place over a year. While the second season, already confirmed, will be set another four years before Rogue One.
Gilroyin a recent interview, pointed out about the character of moon:
“This guy gave his life for the galaxy, right? I mean, knowingly, soberly, without vanity or recognition, he sacrificed himself. Who makes it? That’s what this first season is about. Talk about him being really averse to revolution and cynical, lost, a little messed up“.
Made up of twelve episodes, Andor will be available from 21 September with the first three episodes on Disney +.
