2022 was the year of weddings. From Bennifer to Kravis, many couples have pronounced the fateful Yup. Hollywood weddings are liked: they set trends, combine fashion and entertainment, and they never leave out a pinch of drama (impossible not to think of poor Britney Spears).
Some had the duration of a lunar cycle, others were so talked about, awaited, and majestic, that they became legends. We’ve rounded up our 10 favorite (and most famous) Hollywood weddings.
Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer
Audrey Hepburn married actor and director Mel Ferrer in 1954; the two met at a party, during the launch of Roman holidays. The ceremony took place in the Bürgenstock Chapel, Ennetbürgen, Switzerland. For the occasion, Hepburn wore a crown of roses and one of the most iconic dresses ever, designed by Pierre Balmain. It was her first marriage for the actress.
Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra
Modest marriage (according to Insiders lasted only four minutes) and Hollywood party in Palm Springs in style, with guests such as Katherine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy and Dean Martin. The thirty-year age difference didn’t stop the love between Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra, though the union between the actress and Ole’ Blue Eyes it only lasted two years.
Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton
The romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton was anything but conventional; the relationship began when Taylor was still married to Eddie Fisher (the singer had just left his wife, Debbie Reynolds, for Liz). Taylor and Burton married in 1964, divorced in 1974, remarried in 1975, then divorced again in 1976. The first wedding was held at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Montreal, the actress wore a canary yellow dress and a stunning headpiece floral. The second was a secret ceremony in Botswana, for the occasion Taylor wore a green lace dress and a flower crown.
Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman
Considered by many Hollywood Golden CoupleJoanne Woodward and Paul Newman got married after falling in love on the set of The Long, Hot Summer, their union lasted until Newman’s death in 2008. The couple opted for a quiet wedding at El Rancho, a Las Vegas hotel-casino, followed by a honeymoon in London.

The couple spared no expense, setting up the party with flowers and an evening fireworks display.

An Italian wedding also for the Kardashian-West couple, who he chose Florence as the place of his heart to seal the union. The event welcomed super guests, such as: Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Steve McQueen and Serena Williams.
Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney
Hollywood’s most famous bachelor has found his sweetheart. In 2014 George Clooney married human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, celebrating their love with a record ceremony, costing thirteen million dollars (each guest was paid for transport and accommodation, a super supply of tequila and Lana del Rey performed for the newlyweds).
