“I turned on CNN …”. Gwiazdor speaks volumes about the situation at the border

The situation on the Polish-Belarusian border is still turbulent. Every day more attempts to exceed it are recorded. The crisis in bitter words was commented by Mariusz Fyrstenberg.

The crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border continues. Only in the last 24 hours there were 255 attempts to illegally cross the border. Two groups – one of 500 and the other of 50 – behaved aggressively.

The state of emergency is still in force in over 170 localities in the Podlaskie and Lubelskie provinces. At the moment, it is not known when the situation will be alleviated.

Events at the border are widely commented on, also by people related to the world of sport. Mariusz Fyrstenberg spoke bitter words about the crisis.

“I turned on CNN to find out what was happening in my country, on the border with Belarus,” wrote Fyrstenberg on Twitter.

“It’s not so much about specific information, but the very fact that I have to watch foreign media to learn something about Poland,” he added in one of the comments.

Mariusz Fyrstenberg ended his career in 2017. He has won 18 doubles tournaments. He reached the finals of the US Open (2011) and the semi-finals of the Australian Open (2006). The longest time he performed in a duet with Marcin Matkowski.
