Icarus: hardware requirements for an interesting survival game

Have you heard about Icarus? Soon it should be louder about it, and if so, it is worth checking what equipment you can play on.

Icarus, or one more survival

Recently, quite a lot of games from the broadly understood survival genre have appeared. The mentioned Icarus will be another of them. It should be noted right away that the New Zealand studio RocketWerkz, founded (and serves as CEO) of Dean Hall – the creator of DayZ, with whom at least some have had the opportunity to come into contact, is working on it. Is this already a sufficient recommendation for a new project?

In the case of Icarus, we are dealing with a PvE-oriented game for up to eight players. They will be transferred to the title, distant planet and forced to fight for survival in a brutal environment. This means exploring, getting food, crafting tools, but also fighting wildlife. But survival itself is not the only goal. Appearance on this planet is voluntary. In addition to many threats, it carries something else – very valuable raw materials, thanks to which you will be able to get rich.

When is the premiere of Icarus?

Icarus is already after the beta testing phase, in which, according to the official announcement, several hundred thousand players took part. Now it’s time for the premiere of the final version, which is scheduled for December 4. The final one, although the creators point out that this does not mean the end of the work, because additional elements are to appear systematically.

“After three months of beta testing and feedback from one of the most engaged gaming communities I’ve ever seen, Icarus is ready to debut. We believe that the key to creating a great survival game is listening to community feedback and being able to iterate quickly. We purposefully built our architecture so that we can add new items, missions, biomes and rebalance each beta weekend, and that’s something we plan to continue beyond launch. Icarus will be a living, evolving game. ” – Dean Hall

Are you planning to play? Currently, the price of the game on Steam is PLN 97.19. Or maybe you checked the gameplay in beta tests and you can share your first impressions?
