Ice-skating. An accident involving Natalia Czerwonka

The competition in the Speed Skating World Cup has moved to Salt Lake City, where the first competition will begin this evening. Unfortunately, just before the competition, there was a fatal accident in which our Olympic medalist Natalia Czerwonka took part.

The Polish woman fell during one of the training sessions and was driving on the ice at high speed, while undercutting the Dutch coach Jan Coopmans. This one, not expecting anything, fell fatally and hit his head on the ice. He was immediately taken to hospital. The media in the Netherlands reports that the trainer suffered a severe concussion.

The Polish woman came out of this collision almost unscathed, and her start is rather not threatened. Czerwonka is at the moment the best Polish skating rider on distances and is a sure thing to go to the Olympic Games in Beijing.
