Intel is preparing Pentium and Celeron processors based on Alder Lake

The premiere of the 12th generation Alder Lake Core processors is behind us, but Intel has not rested on its laurels. This time, Intel is getting ready to debut cheaper Pentium and Celeron systems, the last generation of which is still based on Comet Lake. Information about the new CPU was provided by the leaker momomo_us.

Intel is preparing at least two new Alder Lake chips, and they are Pentium Gold G7400 and Celeron G6900. They will replace the Pentium Gold 6400 and Celeron G5900 processors. Both will get two cores, the first of which will provide support for up to 4 threads simultaneously.

The Intel Pentium Gold G7400 is to work with a basic clock of 3.7 GHz and will receive 6 MB of the third level cache. The simpler Celeron G6900 will run at 3.4 GHz and get 4 MB of L3 memory. We will have to wait for more details.
