Inter lost 4-2 with Villarreal in the last pre-season friendly. At the Adriatic Stadium of Pescara (with a pitch in poor condition painted green which put the dispute of the game at risk) Simone Inzaghi raises Skriniar and Gosens from the first minute (author of the first shot of the match), Asllani plays in place of the bruised Brozovic.
Calhanoglu is cautioned. Pedraza unlocks the result with a nice diagonal left on the fly to the corner, where Handanovic cannot reach. Inter’s reaction is entrusted to the usual Lukaku, who equalized with a header from a cross from Gosens exploiting an empty output of Rollers. Coquelin brings the Spaniards back scoring a penalty in motion at the end of the first half.
The recovery opens again under the sign of Pedraza, who goes away to Skriniar and scores a brace overtaking Handanovic with a precise left diagonal. From the bench they enter Dimarco and D’Ambrosio, authors of assists and goals for the momentary 2-3. Then on the counterattack Nicolas Jackson sets the score at 2-4.
Next Saturday 13 August Inter will play their first matchday in Serie A in Lecce.
