Mike Hesson told that the contracted players of Australia will be able to play in the IPL only after April 5. In such a situation, the rules of Cricket Australia are preventing him from doing so today. He will be able to become a part of the franchise only from the match against Mumbai Indians on April 9.

Hesson said in a video released from RCB’s official Twitter page, “Cricket Australia has clearly stated that no contracted players will be available to play before 6 April, so when they arrive doesn’t matter as they are six. We won’t be able to play before April. Like any other team, we are well aware of this. We have planned accordingly. Maxi (Maxwell) will be available for us from April 9.”

Maxwell did not go on Pakistan tour
Glenn Maxwell was not part of the Australian team for the Pakistan tour. He stayed away from touring Pakistan because of his marriage. After marriage, he completed his quarantine and then joined RCB on Monday.
