IPL 2022 Chennai Super Kings lost even after scoring 210 runs against Lucknow Super Giants. CSK could not defend this score and what was the reason behind it, captain Jadeja told about it.
New Delhi, Online Desk. Chennai Super Kings scored a big score in the 7th league match of IPL 2022 against Lucknow Super Giants captained by KL Rahul. On the basis of Robin Uthappa’s half-century innings, this team scored 210 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Looking at this score, it seemed that perhaps Lucknow Super Giants could not chase this target, but it did not happen and this team defeated CSK by achieving this target with 6 wickets remaining. Now why the team could not save even such a big target, Chennai captain Ravindra Jadeja revealed about it and also talked about the lack of the team.
Captain Ravindra Jadeja, captain of the loss in the match, said that we had a great start in the match and Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube batted very well. We got off to a good start, but we have to take catches only then you can win the match. We shouldn’t have missed out on taking chances. Apart from this, Jadeja said that there was a lot of dew on the ground and the ball was not coming in the right way. Next time we have to practice with the wet ball. We batted really well in the powerplay and then the middle and the wicket was good enough to bat on. As a bowling unit, we need to execute on our plans.
Let us tell you that in this match, former team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni completed his 7000 runs in T20 cricket career, while team bowler Dwayne Bravo created history. He has now become the first bowler to take the most wickets in IPL. In IPL, now Bravo has 171 wickets in his name and he broke the record of Lasith Malinga who had 170 wickets in his name. Apart from this, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also become the Indian player to catch 200 catches in T20 cricket as a wicketkeeper.
