Julia Roberts and Jennifer Anniston will star in a new comedyas yet untitled by “Palm Springs” director Max Barbakow.
As reported by Deadline, Amazon managed to grab the rights to the filmemerging victorious from a war unleashed by the many studios that tried to take the project home until the last minute.
Produced in conjunction with Margot Robbie’s company, LuckyChap Entertainment, the film will be written and directed by Barbakow. There comedy is described as a “body swap comedy” starring the two beloved Hollywood divas, but beyond this no further details relating to the plot have been revealed.
There film will thus try to follow in the wake of Amazon’s recent successes, such as “Ticket to Paradise” with Roberts and George Clooney and “The Lost City” with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. The company’s other upcoming films include the documentary “Judy Blume Forever” and the Dave Franco-directed and Alison Brie and Jay Ellis-starring romantic comedy “Somebody I Used to Know.”
