Jennifer Aniston has virtually paid tribute to her fatherJohn Aniston, for the 49th Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday night.
John, 88 years old, received the Lifetime Achievement Award during this year’s ceremony for his 37-year performance as Victor Kiriakis on the NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”
John’s Days of Our Lives co-star Suzanne Rogers presented the award before a video of Jennifer Aniston was projected on the screen during the ceremony. In her clip, the actress praised her father’s illustrious career.
“This is really a special moment for me,” said Jennifer, 53. “It’s an opportunity not only for pay homage to a true icon in the television worldbut it’s also an opportunity to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and respected actor, who is also my father.”
“John has been working in television steadily for over half a century,” Jennifer Aniston continued, before listing her father’s long list of television credits.
The actress said that his father worked on a lot of projects “he appeared simultaneously on every soap opera imaginable. You pick one at random… I’m sure there was”.
“For over 30 years, his dedication to television and entertainment has it has earned respect and admiration from his fellow actors, deep friendships and thrilled millions of fans around the world,” he concluded. “His career is literally the definition of a career.”
Though John Aniston wasn’t able to be there in person, he received massive cheers from the crowd for his iconic career.

“Jennifer (Aniston) is a natural talent“, the father had already said since the 90s. “There are some things you can learn by being an actor but there are others that you must have innate, including the comic instinct which is his greatest asset”.
Jennifer Aniston won an Emmy Award in 2002 during her 10-year career playing Rachel Green on the NBC television sitcom Must-See.
The Anistons’ admiration show on stage was the sweetest moment for a father and daughter whose relationship has been tumultuous at times.
Back in 2019, Jennifer had paid tribute to her father with a sepia photo of herself as a child cuddling up to him and wrapping her arms around his neck.
