The guest of Monday’s Sport.pl LIVE program was the president of the Polish Football Association – Cezary Kulesza. The main topic of the conversation is the selection of a new coach of the Polish national team. It is speculated that it will most likely be a Polish coach. Kulesza, however, did not rule out a foreign option. The president of the Polish Football Association revealed that he was still receiving further offers.
“Szymanski should be appointed”
Piotr Majchrzak, a journalist at sport.pl, who hosts the program, asked the president Kulesza if he saw players who should play in the Polish national team, but were omitted by coach Paulo Sousa.
– I would not like to throw names. Sebastian Szymanski from Dynamo Moscow should however be appointed. He deserved it. The coach was checking him on the midfield side, and he’s not a side midfielder. It was therefore difficult to judge – admitted Cezary Kulesza. This season, Szymański scored five goals and six assists in 17 games this season. Even so, he was regularly overlooked by Sousa.

He also added that Przemysław Frankowski did not play in an optimal position in the national team. – Coach Sous was experimenting. We saw Przemek Frankowski playing on the midfield side, making numbers, goals, and assists. Here he comes out in the position of an offensive midfielder. I had him in Jagiellonia Białystok for about four years and he is a side midfielder. Szymański should play faster on “10” – added Kulesza. Frankowski in Lens in 20 games scored four goals and had four assists.
