Marcin Brosz may soon join a new employer – the Polish Football Association. As Tomasz Włodarczyk informs, his engagement in the Polish national team U19 is close.
In November 2021, the PZPN parted ways with Mariusz Rumak. Since then, there is a vacancy in the position of coach of the Polish national team up to 19 years of age. Soon they may be taken over by a nationally recognized trainer.
According to Włodarczyk, Marcin Brosz is the favorite to become the Polish U-19 coach. The first talks on this matter have already taken place, and both sides present a similar position.
The brooch would thus return to the active work of a trainer, which he interrupted in May 2021. Then he parted ways with Górnik Zabrze, where he was running a long-term project. Together with the team, he was promoted to the Ekstraklasa and even took a place that guaranteed a game in the qualifying rounds for the European cups.
He recently rejected a job offer at Bruk-Bet Termalice Nieciecza, which was looking for a successor to Mariusz Lewandowski. The brooch was waiting for more interesting sports offers, and this seems to be the proposal from the Polish Football Association.
The Polish national team under 19 has had a difficult time. Mariusz Rumak’s players did not manage to advance to the European Championships. In the qualifying group with Ukraine, Finland and Malta, they scored just four points and finished third. It is hoped that the next year will do better. Perhaps already under the leadership of the aforementioned Brooch.
In the past, the 48-year-old also worked in Polonia Bytom, Koszarawa Żywiec, Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała, Odra Wodzisław, Piaście Gliwice and Korona Kielce.
