Promoting vaccination against COVID-19, the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry appeared at Global Citizen Live in New York. The Duchess subtly paid tribute to Diana with one accessory: her favorite Dior bag.
Lady D-Lite handbag in Meghan’s hand is a modern version of Lady Dior, made famous by Diana in the late 90’s. The purse, originally called Chouchou, was given to Diana by the first lady of France, Bernadette Chirac. Diana wore it on numerous occasions, including the Met, which prompted the fashion house to rename the iconic Lady Dior handbag.

While Meghan’s choice honors Diana, her Lady D-Lite has her own twist: the “DSSOS” monogram. It alludes to its title. Meghan Markle combined a handbag with a white Valentino dress with floral applications, a long black coat and elegant black pumps.
