Taiwan video game classification body classified The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition for PC, PS5 And Xbox Series X and S. This is probably a new version of Obsidian Entertainment’s action role-playing game, of which, however, nothing is known yet.
We can speculate that it will be a ‘complete edition, which means that it will include the base game plus all the extra content published over the years. It will likely have some graphical enhancements of some kind to harness the power of the new consoles. It’s hard to say if it will also be tweaked in the game mechanics. Of course it is fair to specify that these are our speculations, since there is still nothing official.
The Outer Worlds was released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in October 2019, then on the Nintendo Switch in June 2020. Many welcomed it as the Fallout: New Vegas 2 that Bethesda never had Obsidian develop and despite some limitations, gamers liked it so much that it sold millions of copies.
In 2020 and 2021 the experience was expanded with two greats DLC: Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos, basically two autonomous stories for a total of ten hours of extra gameplay.
Meanwhile, Obsidian has announced the development of The Outer Worlds 2, which a team of nearly one hundred people is working on and which will be released exclusively on Xbox and PC consoles, as well as on Game Pass.
