New Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, what changes: here are features, photos and technical data

The Multistrada V4 Rally, like its sisters, is equipped with a front and rear radar system to support the systems of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), which signals the presence of vehicles approaching in the blind spot of the mirrors. Always in the security field we find theABS with Cornering functionwhich also intervenes with inclined motion, the Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), which improve night visibility by illuminating the inside curve, the Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) e Ducati Traction Control (DTC). These systems use the inertial platform (IMU) to optimize intervention based on the lean and pitch angle of the vehicle. To complete the driving assistance package we find theEngine Brake Control (EBC), the Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) to facilitate hill starts and the Keyless ignition system.

As for the four driving modes present on the Multi V4 and also on the Rally (Sport, Touring, Urban ed Enduro) the latter receives a dedicated power mode, which limits the power to 115 hp with a more direct gas response than deactivates the ABS at the rear and regulates the intervention of the electronics for use on land.

The Multistrada V4 Rally also introduces the innovative extended deactivation system of the rear bank, a technical solution that, in addition to switching off the rear cylinders at idle speed with the bike stationary (a feature already present on the Multistrada V4), now keeps it deactivated even in motion, below a certain rpm threshold. As the speed increases, or when the throttle opens more decisively, the rear cylinders are reactivated providing full power to the engine. This the 1,158 cc V4 GranTurismo is confirmed, 170 hp at 10,750 rpm. and 125 Nm of maximum torque at 8,750 rpm.
