How to renew Skoda Karoq 2022-2023
On board of Skoda Karoq 2022-2023, the central screen renews its operating system for faster running speed, and the steering wheel, now decorated with chrome controls, has only two spokes. Behind, the instruments use a digital device that can be configured at will. New coatings are installed, giving pride of place to recycled materials. The configurable 10.25-inch laptop is eye-catching.
Like the outgoing model, the new Karoq it stands out for its neat modularity. The VarioFlex rear seat sees its three parts slide and tilt independently of each other, but also remove completely. The trunk therefore varies from 521 l to 1,810 l when it was removed while with the seat folded the maximum volume is 1,605 l, a good relationship between quality and price.
Under the hood, the supply of engines is limited. The 2.0 TSI 190 HP is released, the only petrol unit that could previously be associated with all-wheel drive. To afford it, you have to opt for the 2.0 TDI with 150 hp, which is also incompatible with traction, unlike the 116 hp TDI. Diesels see their pollution control strengthened. Basically, we find the 3-cylinder 1.0 TSI with 110 HP and the 1.5 TSI with 150 HP.
They have been slightly modified to reduce internal friction, again to reduce fuel requirements and therefore emissions. Among them, we are testing the 1.5 with the DSG gearbox 7 (not available on 1.0), in the Style finish, the most exclusive. Sportline and Ambition follow in descending order of price, while Clever, Scout and Laurin & Klement fall by the wayside.

The Virtual Cockpit of Skoda Karoq 2022-2023 is very attractive to the eye, but its many displays make it a bit complex. The central touchscreen benefits from a new management that makes it more responsive and rich. The materials are of high quality and the assembly does not raise criticism.
The trunk offers a large volume, especially when all the seats have been removed. The VarioFlex sofa offers considerable modularity: it is in fact possible to slide the rear seats, tilt the backrests or even remove the entire group, in separate elements. The rear habitability reaches a very good level.
The set-ups of the Karoq 2022 are four: Ambition, Executive, Style and Sportline. From 27,200 euros for the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder manual 6-speed Ambition and up to over 40,000 euros for the top of the range Sportline 2.0 TDI 4×4 with 7-speed DSG gearbox.
