Arthur Cabral may soon find himself in the Premier League. Interest in the striker is showing Newcastle United, says Goal.com.
Newcastle United begin rearming ahead of the relegation struggle. During the winter transfer window, the team will receive a massive cash injection. After hiring a new trainer, the next step will be to strengthen the staff. The Magpies want a striker, and Arthur Cabral is one of the candidates.
The 23-year-old Brazilian is showing great, regular form this season. In 14 league games for Basel, he scored 14 goals. He also made three hits in the League of European Conferences and eight in the qualifying rounds for that competition. Cabral has good physical conditions and his style of play would certainly fit in with the Premier League.
Cabral’s contract with the Swiss club is valid until June 2023. Those interested in obtaining it will have to spend nearly EUR 15 million.
Newcastle United has already contacted Basel for the transfer, but there are more people willing to join the Brazilian. Barcelona sees him as a substitute for Sergio Agüero, and West Ham United – a strengthening in the fight for European cups.
Magpies may be very active on the transfer market in the near future. Saudi owners are looking to quickly improve their results after a disappointing start to the season.
Newcastle has not yet managed to win any game after fourteen queues and is currently the Premier League’s red lantern.
