Nissan Ariya Single Seater Concept – an electric car based on an SUV

As part of the Ambition 2030 plan, Nissan continues to showcase the future of its new products. In addition to the Chill-Out, Max-Out, etc. models, a concept called Ariya Single Seater Concept was presented.

The design of the vehicle embodies “timeless Japanese futurism”, whatever the manufacturer had in mind. – Ariya Single Seater Concept is the perfect expression of this new language. The use of the Ariya electric vehicle driveline in a motorsport-inspired body has allowed our international team to capture a sense of speed, technology and artistry, said Alfonso Albaisa, Director of Design.

The name is directly related to the Ariya SUV planned for 2022 – the concept uses the same driveline. We are talking about an electric motor with a power of 395 HP, developing 600 Nm of torque. For a car built from carbon fiber, the unit will be even “tailor-made”.

The resemblance to your “standard” relative is only visible when you look at the paintwork – the same shade of rose gold is used here. The vehicle is inspired primarily by Formula E, in which Nissan has long been competing. The experience gained during the construction of racing vehicles is also used by the manufacturer in the design of serial cars.

The concept may be a kind of advertisement for the Ariya model, which will enter the market in 2022. The electric SUV will also be available in Poland. At the moment, the manufacturer does not provide an official price list. However, looking at the current market situation, you can speculate that you will have to pay over PLN 200,000 for the car.
