Ocean’s Eleven: Jay Roach-Directed Prequel Starts With Margot Robbie | Cinema

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively announces that the saga of Ocean’s Eleven is bound to expand with the face of Margot Robbie. She the actress will in fact be the protagonist and producer of a new film directed by Jay Roach, with whom she had already worked in Bombshell – The voice of the scandal.

The film series had already taken a “step back” with Ocean’s 8a film with Sandra Bullock directed by Gary Ross that has grossed worldwide 300 million dollars. Although there was an intention to produce sequels with chapters 9 and 10 to rejoin the 11, it seems that the direction of the new project is another.

According to the first rumors, in fact, Carrie Solomon’s screenplay foresees a story set in Europe in the 1960s. Executive producers will include Gary Ross, Olivia Milch and Josey McNamara. The film is in active development, but has not yet received the green light despite plans to start shooting by spring of 2023.
