AS Roma and Getafe announced Borja Mayoral’s loan to the club from Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. Thus, the Spaniard’s adventure with Serie A comes to an end. In all competitions, the 24-year-old player played in 56 matches and scored 18 goals.
In his first season at Stadio Olimpico Mayoral, he scored 17 goals, making him Roma’s top scorer. After the arrival of José Mourinho and the transfers of Tammy Abraham and Eldor Shomurodov, he played less and less and this season he has played less than 300 minutes in all competitions. He scored one goal.
Roma signed Mayoral 1.5 years ago on a two-year loan. It paid Real € 2 million, while guaranteeing herself the option to buy it for € 15 million in the summer of 2021 or for € 20 million in 2022. It is currently unclear what exactly the deal between the three parties – Real Madrid, Roma and Getafe looks like.
Together with Mayoral, Gonzalo Villar, a former Elche player, will go from Roma to Getafe on a loan by the end of this season.
Tomorrow at 12:00 there will be a presentation of both players. The players will have a chance to debut in the new colors on January 20 (Thursday) at 19:00. Granada will appear at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
