Battle Johnny Depp With Amber Heard still in progress; the actor recently lost a defamation lawsuit (he has already appealed to the Court of Appeal), and therefore lost the role of Gellert Grindelwald in the film Fantastic Beasts 3. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter magazine described Depp’s behavior on the set of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge In Australia. He was supposed to take several ecstasy pills at a time, then crash into the set and wage a “terror campaign” against Heard, ultimately resulting in him cutting off the tip of his finger. He was sent back to Los Angeles for surgery, which forced a two-week hiatus from production of the film. Each day of delays cost the studio approximately $ 350,000. In total, this amounts to nearly $ 5 million.
The actor claims that this injury was caused by throwing a bottle of alcohol at him. In turn, Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer, suggested that the injury was caused by a crash through a car door.
The Hollywood Reporter also wrote:
In the face of a crumbling career, Johnny Depp could count on the support of only one group – the Polish film festival.
We are talking about EnergaCamerimage, which awarded the actor in Toruń. Due to the pandemic, Depp did not come to Poland, but thanked him for the award and shared his photo with the statuette. The photo “from behind the bars” seems meaningful and symbolic:
The magazine also revealed that the Jack Sparrow impersonator sent multiple messages that were meant to be used as a means to ruin his ex-wife’s career. THR gained access to private conversations, which were cited in Judge Andrew Nicola’s 132-page verdict in the aforementioned case against The Sun. Depp incl. urged Christi Dembrowski to remove Heard from the cast Aquaman 2. He also corresponded with the actress’s ex-agent for similar purposes.
Johnny Depp recorded only one scene for the third installment of the series, but will receive a full fee – $ 16 million.
