Sony is not going to waste this opportunity and wants to throw a lot of new productions on the PS5. Jim Ryan has confirmed that as many as 17 PlayStation Studios teams are developing games aimed at PS5. Some titles will be released on PS4.

Sony at CES 2022 confirmed PS VR2 and revealed the first game developed for the next-generation goggles. However, this is just the beginning, as we can be sure that all PlayStation Studios teams are working on titles designed for PS5.

The information was confirmed by Jim Ryan, who during the presentation introduced all PlayStation studios and confirmed that each company is working on first-party productions.

“PlayStation has 17 studios working on first-party games.”

We can be sure that some (God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Foribdden West) is still coming to PS5 and PS4, but some teams have already started developing fully next-gen games that will use the potential of PlayStation 5.

Specific announcements of new titles should appear in the coming months – after all, Sony will end the promotion of this year’s games and will start showing new titles.
