North Korea on Tuesday launched a ballistic missile that flew over the territory of Japan

and fell into the Pacific Ocean.

The recent missile tests carried out by North Korea are “retaliatory measures” against the joint military exercises of the United States and South Korea, the Pyongyang Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The launches, the ministry explained, represent “the just retaliatory measures of the Korean People’s Army against the joint exercises between South Korea and the United States that are increasing military tensions on the Korean peninsula”.
